Wednesday's Oxymoron

I just flipped on the morning news. In one breath they inform me it's National Walk to School Day--promoting physical health.  In the next breath they give me the school bus stop weather report.

Come on now Channel 5!  Do I walk or ride the bus?

Oxymoron.

I figure if I leave the house at 8am I should be to work on time.

But, who's gonna pick me up at 330pm...it is only walk TO school day, not walk home from school day?

Hahaha! I always loved this concept, but they never really think it out. There is a reason we have a bus--we live too far from school to walk! And our grade school never had what I consider a "safe" route to walk home. Gees, I dunno, do you think the sex offenders house might be a tad close to the school??? Add in that super heavy book bag and you've got one crabby kid. No thanks.

And I think you have a mulligan as it is "Walk to SCHOOL day" not "Walk to WORK day". You can tell them I said that if you get dirty looks.
